Module Courses
The EUDEMUS module generated three new courses and research on EU issues including AI, data protection, sustainable climate policy, race, gender, and (dis)ability, in disciplines across campus that traditionally do not teach about the EU. Through these efforts, Key Module Faculty will promote an understanding of the EU’s approaches, which can be very different from those in the US, amongst students who do not normally come into contact with the EU.

Digital Media & Society: AI Law and Data Privacy
The rapid development of artificial intelligence is changing the landscape of media law and policy, creating both opportunities and challenges to democratic institutions and transatlantic relations.
This seminar course is designed to advance your knowledge of digital media law and policy at a time when Europe is carving out an active regulatory agenda and the United States is not. Student experiences and knowledge with AI/data privacy will drive the framework for discussion and curriculum. Students will actively help to shape the direction of the course. Student goals for the course will be identified, foregrounded and shared as we acquire knowledge together about this new and constantly changing area.
